Dug by hand at full maturity and dried whole, for anyone who would rather grind their own. The colour and the smell are the two things you can check before you buy.

Stone ground on the farm

Organic haldi powder

The same harvest, sun dried and stone ground slow so the colour and aroma survive the milling. Nothing is added afterwards, which is why the shade changes a little between batches.

Moringa oleifera

Moringa

Planted by hand this season, one sapling at a time, in the same untreated soil as the haldi. Leaves are picked young and dried in shade so they hold their green instead of going khaki.

Read the packet

What goes in, and what never does.

Most haldi powder on a shelf has been through several hands before it reaches yours. Ours has been through three, and all of them are in the same family.

In the packet

  • Turmeric grown on our own field
  • Sun, for as many days as the root needs
  • Stone grinding, slow enough to stay cool
  • A seal put on at the farm, not at a depot

Never in the packet

  • Artificial colour or lead chromate
  • Starch, rice flour or any other filler
  • Anti-caking agents
  • Preservatives, or turmeric from anyone else’s field

Organic red chilli powder

Grown the same way as the haldi and ground on the same farm. The packaging is ready and the crop is on its way — we will open orders the day we have stock we are happy with.

Planting this season

Lemon

Young lemon trees are going in alongside the haldi. It will be a few seasons before there is fruit worth selling, and we are not going to sell any before then.

Orchard already ours

Mango

Our mango trees have stood on this land for years, and the haldi grows in their shade. We do not sell the fruit yet. When we can pack and ship it without it losing anything on the way, we will.
